Cross Emphasized

The cross is a religious symbol for many. Others see in it a more profane statement which is periodically incorporated in the more populist industries such as fashion and music or entertainment business. Interestingly, the shape of the cross is one of the oldest decorative elements of human mankind – a simple combination of two lines going in traverse directions.

The design emphasizes the cross by doubling the vertical and horizontal line. This design intervention gives not only a body but also a pettiness it otherwise would not have. The extension of the foreground beyond the background inverts the usual design logic and adds an interesting twist to it.
